
UT Kangri
The UT Ladakh Kangri peak (6,030m), located in the upper valley of Rumtse village, is a prominent snow-covered peak that was recently explored and successfully climbed by local mountaineers from the Ladakh Mountain Guides Association in 2019. UT kangri is the best for those who are new to mountaineering and planning to do a six-thousander at the beginning.

Inclusions & Exclusions
Inclusions.
- Accommodation in Leh for the first 3 nights at a homestay on a twin or three person sharing basis.
- Veg food as per menu on the trek.
- Tents on sharing basis, sleeping bags, mats.
- Technical equipment including rope, harness, carabiners, snow boots and crampons (as per requirement).
- Mountaineering course certified expedition guides.
- Travel from Leh to road-head and back.
- Flat 50% discount on the customized TMNA t-shirts, pre-order only.
Exclusions.
- Any expense of personal nature or not specified in the inclusions list.
- In case buffer day is utilised, an additional amount of INR 3000 would be charged.
- Any kind of food expenses during your stay in Leh or en route to the road-head.
Itinerary
Day 01
Arrive in Leh at 3,500m. Rest day.
Day 02
Team-meeting and easy hikes around Leh.
Day 03
Acclimatisation day. Hike to 4050m around Leh, gear rental and final preparations.
Day 04
Move to Rumtse at an altitude of 4,200m. A 700m gain from Leh to acclimatise better.
Day 05
Move to Rumtse Phu at 4600m, our road-head for the expedition, and camp for the night.
Day 06
Move to Base Camp, 5200m and rest for the day.
Day 07
Head for the summit in the night depending on the speed of the group and the weather conditions. Turnaround time is 11am so that we can return to camp by 3pm, and reach the road-head by 6pm.
Head back to Leh the same night.
Day 08*
Buffer Day. In case buffer day is utilised, an additional amount of INR 3000 would be charged per person.
